The members of the RTSA community find a true home within these walls. Over time, they become a family—supporting one another through every step of recovery.

We Plant the Seed of Recovery

Established in 1971 as Wesley Hall of Alamance, Residential Treatment Services of Alamance, Inc. has dedicated over 50 years to improving the lives of adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Drawing on our extensive experience, we design individualized recovery programs that provide clients with the essential resources to build strong, sustainable paths to recovery.

About Us

Residential Treatment Services of Alamance, Inc.is a private, nonprofit organization. RTSA offers 24-hour services to men and women living with mental illness and/or recovering from substance use disorders.

Our services are available to North Carolina residents ages 18 and older, with priority admission for residents of Alamance or Caswell Counties, without regard to race, creed, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

RTSA was founded in 1971 as Wesley Hall of Alamance, NC. The agency was created by a group of concerned citizens who believed Alamance County needed formalized residential services for individuals struggling with alcoholism.

In 1990, the Board of Directors changed the name to Residential Treatment Services of Alamance to better reflect the programs the agency provides. The organization is known as RTSA (Residential Treatment Services of Alamance).

Mission Statement

RTSA is dedicated to improving lives of adults with substance use and mental health disorders by providing them with the resources they need to build strong programs of recovery.

Our Vision

RTSA envisions a community where every individual facing substance use and mental health challenges achieves optimal health, feels supported, and contributes positively to society through comprehensive, accessible, and sustainable recovery programs.

Why Recovery Matters Here

For many individuals, treatment is more than stopping substance use. It is about reclaiming life, purpose, and self-worth. People often arrive feeling exhausted, disconnected, and unsure where to turn. Through compassionate care, structured support, and connection to recovery communities, individuals begin to rebuild their lives one step at a time.

Recovery is not about being fixed. It is about learning how to live, asking for help, and staying connected. At RTSA, individuals are met with respect, dignity, and encouragement, and are reminded that they are not alone.

Recovery is possible. Support makes the difference.
